Another Chicago suburb that owned an Aero Chief 90 quint was Libertyville. Unfortunately, right after taking this shot, the rig was backed into the side of one of their pumpers, eliminating the lift-up door from a high side compartment!

1971 ALF 1000 Series Aero Chief 90 Quint from Dade County, FL
Dade County retired and sold this Aero Chief to Panama Fire Apparatus in 1986. It was refurbed and painted solid red. It was then sold to Ocean Isle Beach, NC and later sold to Iberia Parrish Fire District 1, in Louisiana, where it still serves today.

Originally delivered as an open-cab 1000 Series, this Aero Chief was refurbed with a low profile Century Series cab to maintain it's ability to fit inside an old station with limited clearance. It was sold by Lindenwold a few years ago to a lighting equipment contractor.

This Aero Chief was sent back to American LaFrance to have the boom replaced with a 100' aerial ladder in 1980. It was later disposed of.

Prior to serving Moosic, this quint was owned by Woodcliff Lake, NJ. It was destroyed in a station fire in the mid-1990's.
